1 Information We Collect
We collect a few different kinds of information, all of it so we can run the Service, keep your account working and make the board more useful over time. This policy covers Brandzzy, registered at Balasore, Odisha, India, India.
Personal data
When you use Highly Remote we may ask for details that identify you. Typically that's your name, email address, phone number, billing address, and anything you choose to add to your profile, such as a resume, your work experience or the roles and salary range you're after. You decide what goes in. Leaving a field blank only means we show you less relevant listings.
Usage data
We also record how the Service gets used. That includes your IP address, browser and version, device type, the pages you open, the time and date of each visit, how long you stay on a page, and basic diagnostic information when something breaks. It arrives automatically as you browse and helps us find slow pages and bugs.
2 Payment Information
We never store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or bank credentials. None of it touches our servers. Every payment for the ₹899 membership is handled end to end by a payment gateway.
We work with Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS compliant under the standards set by the PCI Security Standards Council. What comes back to us is a transaction reference, the amount, and whether the payment succeeded. That's all we keep, and it's what lets us match a payment to your membership when you write in.
3 Cookies & Tracking Technologies
Cookies and similar technologies help us keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how people move around the site. Some are ours, some belong to third-party tools we use for analytics and advertising:
- Google Analytics: tells us how many people visit, which pages they open, and where they drop off. It's aggregate traffic data, not a file on you.
- Meta Pixel: shows us whether our Facebook and Instagram ads actually bring people who join, so we stop paying for the ones that don't.
- Google Ads conversion tracking: connects a signup back to the ad or keyword that brought it in.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag: measures conversions from LinkedIn campaigns and helps us reach people with similar profiles.
You can set your browser to block cookies, or to warn you each time one is sent. That's entirely your call. Do note that some parts of the Service, signing in among them, won't work properly without them.
4 Use of Data
Highly Remote uses what it collects to:
- run and maintain the Service, and keep your membership active;
- show you listings that match the work and salary range you told us about;
- answer your questions and handle support requests and refunds;
- tell you about changes to the Service, your account or these policies;
- study usage patterns so we can fix what's slow and improve what isn't working;
- spot, prevent and deal with technical problems, fraud and abuse.
5 Data Retention & Security
We hold your personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes set out here. Beyond that, we keep and use some of it where the law requires, or where it's needed to settle a dispute or enforce our agreements. Ask us to delete your account and we will, minus anything we're legally obliged to retain.
Keeping your data safe matters to us, and we use commercially reasonable measures to do it. Still, no method of transmitting data over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. We can't promise absolute security, and anyone who tells you otherwise is overselling.
6 Sharing with Affiliates & Partners
We may share your information with our parent company, subsidiaries, joint ventures and other companies under common control (together, "Affiliates"), and with partner brands we work with.
This sharing is for marketing and promotional purposes, so we can put a fuller set of career services in front of you. In practice it looks like:
- offers from partners on upskilling courses, resume reviews, interview coaching and similar career services;
- co-branded campaigns and opportunities run within the Highly Remote ecosystem.
Every partner has to follow strict privacy conditions before we send anything their way. If you'd rather not hear from them, write to hello@highlyremote.com and we'll opt you out. It doesn't affect your membership in any way.
Business transfers
If Highly Remote, or the business running it, is involved in a merger, acquisition, funding round, reorganisation, or a sale or transfer of all or part of its business or assets, your information, personal data included, may go to the prospective or actual buyer and their advisers, whether they sit in India or elsewhere. Any sharing before a deal closes happens under confidentiality obligations. Once it closes, the new owner may keep using your personal data as described in this policy, until they update it.
7 Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time, so it's worth a look every few months. Changes and clarifications take effect the moment the revised version is posted here.
We don't send individual notices about updates. Checking this page is on you, and continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
Questions about anything above, or want a copy of what we hold on you? Write to us and we'll sort it out.
